As the name implies, Light Container is a container of light. In an attempt to extend the idea of a container, the artist created a hanging sculpture designed to give the appearance of holding a beam of light, which was made visible by using a smoke machine.

Restrictions is a response to the invisible restrictions affecting all of us, and therefore the removal of freedom in our lives. The red sphere in the center is a representation of the self and is surrounded by hanging black rope. The work is meant to be interactive, with the placement of the sphere inviting viewers to move through the intertwining mass of rope, restricting their movement.

Shipping Container is a response to a report stating that Kalamazoo County, the artist’s home town, has one of the highest rates of human trafficking in the United States. The work resembles a shipping container, referencing the ways that humans are transported and how they are treated: as commodities.

divisions illustrates the separation between us, often that we create and enforce ourselves. Installed on a high foot traffic bridge on Michigan State University’s campus, the work serves as a physical representation of the division we create within our society.
